President's Report
Greetings Friends & Colleagues,
I want to sincerely thank everyone who has taken the time to read the beginning of my road to recovery. Your kindness, encouragement, and support mean more than I can adequately express, and I am truly grateful for the care so many throughout our chapter have shown.
The letter I sent was not meant to ask for support or request anything from our wonderful chapter. Instead, it was my way of acknowledging something important that many of us experience and opening the door for honest, caring conversation.
As I move forward with the remainder of my presidency, I am excited to work closely with many of you to strengthen and expand my Presidential agenda. Together, we can continue focusing our chapter on the issues we face each day while making the Pittsburgh Chapter of the ACF a place where new members immediately see not only our camaraderie, but also the genuine care, compassion, and encouragement we have for one another. With that in mind, I would like to remind each of us of our code.
Culinarian’s Code
As a proud member of the American Culinary Federation, I pledge to share my professional knowledge and skill with all culinarians. I will place honor, fairness, cooperation and consideration first when dealing with my colleagues. I will keep all comments professional and respectful when dealing with my colleagues. I will protect all members from the use of unfair means, unnecessary risks and unethical behavior when used against them for another’s personal gain. I will support the success, growth, and future of my colleagues and this great federation.

The last sentence feels especially meaningful to me: “support the success, growth, and future of my colleagues.” Support means celebrating one another’s victories, but it also means standing together when times are difficult. I have been blessed to feel that support from our chapter, and I hope every member knows that we truly have each other’s backs.
Thank you again for the kindness, patience, and encouragement you have shown me and one another. I am grateful to serve alongside such talented and caring professionals, and I look forward to everything we will continue to accomplish together. If we keep leading with respect, compassion, and shared purpose, I know our chapter will only grow stronger, more welcoming, and more united in the days ahead.
